About Aquastar watches
Are Aquastar watches Swiss made?
Yes. Every Aquastar watch is Swiss made and assembled in Switzerland, in keeping with the brand’s heritage dating back to 1962. Movements are Swiss-made (Sellita, La Joux-Perret, and other Swiss manufactures depending on the model).
What movements do you use?
Current production Aquastar watches use the following Swiss-made movements:
- Benthos Professional: Sellita SW200-1 Elaboré grade
- Deepstar II: Sellita SW290 automatic chronograph
- Deepstar III Manual Wind: hand-wound column-wheel chronograph
- Airstar Chronograph: Swiss automatic chronograph
- Model 60: Swiss automatic
Full technical specifications are listed on each product page.
What is the water resistance of each model?
- Benthos Professional, Benthos Heritage MK II, Benthos 500 Chronograph, Benthos H1: 300 metres / 990 ft
- Deepstar II, Deepstar III: 200 metres / 660 ft
- Airstar Chronograph: 200 metres / 660 ft
- Model 60: 200 metres / 660 ft
What is a Mono-Compax chronograph?
“Mono-compax” describes a chronograph dial with only one sub-dial — a register that displays elapsed minutes. The layout debuted on the original 1960s Aquastar Deepstar and returned on the modern Deepstar II. See our Glossary for more terminology.
What sizes are available?
See our Size Guide for case diameters, lug-to-lug, thickness and lug widths across the current range.
Ordering and payment
What payment methods do you accept?
- Credit and debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe
- SEPA Direct Debit (for European Union customers)

- PayPal
All transactions are processed in US Dollars (USD). Your card or PayPal account will convert at the prevailing rate.
In what currency are your prices?
All Aquastar prices are listed and charged in US Dollars (USD). If you are paying with a card in a different currency, your bank will apply the exchange rate at the moment of the transaction.
Can I pay a deposit and the balance later?
Pre-order deposits are available on selected watches. The deposit amount and the balance due date are shown on the product page, and the balance is invoiced before shipment. Contact us if you would like to discuss a deposit arrangement.
Will the price include sales tax / VAT?
The listed price is the price you pay to Aquastar. Local sales tax, VAT, GST and import duties levied by the customs authority of your destination country are the recipient’s responsibility — see the Shipping & Delivery page.
Shipping and delivery
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, worldwide. Full details — carriers, delivery times, customs handling — are on the Shipping & Delivery page.
How long does delivery take?
3–4 business days for Europe, the UK and North America via FedEx. 5–10 business days for other destinations via insured airmail, sometimes longer if held in customs.
Will I have to pay customs duty?
Yes, if your destination country charges import duty on watches, you are responsible for those duties and any related taxes. Aquastar cannot prepay these.
Warranty and service
What is the warranty period?
Aquastar provides a 24-month international warranty on every new watch, covering manufacturing defects under normal use. The warranty does not cover damage from accident, misuse, unauthorised service, water ingress where the watch was used outside its rated depth, or wear-and-tear on straps and crystals.
How do I claim warranty?
Contact us through the contact form with your order number and a description of the issue. We will issue an RMA (Return Material Authorisation) and route your watch to the appropriate Aquastar service centre. Never send a watch without an RMA — without it we cannot accept inbound shipments.
Where can I have my watch serviced?
Aquastar operates certified service centres covering different regions. The appropriate centre is assigned when your RMA is issued. Full details, time-frames (around 12 weeks for standard service, up to 6 months for vintage restoration) and the service request form are on the Service & Repair page.
Do you service vintage Aquastar watches?
Yes, with limitations. We offer movement servicing for vintage Aquastars, but original spare parts are no longer produced. For complex restorations, allow up to 6 months.
Is the service work guaranteed?
Aquastar provides a 12-month warranty on completed service and repair work, covering only the specific work performed.
Returns and exchanges
What is your return policy?
Aquastar accepts returns within 10 days of receipt on unworn, unaltered watches in their original packaging with all protective stickers and bracelet links intact. Pre-orders and customised watches have their own terms. Full details are on the Return Policy page.
How do I return an item?
Contact us first to request an RMA (Return Material Authorisation). Once issued, ship the watch insured via FedEx with the RMA number clearly marked on the packaging. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility. Refunds — excluding original shipping costs from Aquastar — are issued after inspection.
Do you offer exchanges?
Yes, subject to availability. Initiate an exchange the same way as a return — through the contact form — and we will arrange the new shipment once the original watch is received and inspected.
