Aquastar Deepstar II – Vintage Black on stainless steel BOR bracelet

$2,090.00 Tax/VAT for EU customers will be added during checkout

The Aquastar Deepstar II is the evolution of the original Deepstar from 1963, relying on the same patent of the original piece that enables calculating multiple dive and decompression times while housing a non-chronograph, easy to use 3 hand mechanism, and moderately sized 37mmX46mm for great comfort of wear.  Being a result of recreation of one of the most influential dive watches of the 60s, the unique and uncluttered mono sub dial, and the patented multiple dive decompression bezel table make the Deepstar an unmatched diver-oriented tool with an instantly recognizable design.

This model numbered and engraved on the case back..

Housed in an eminently wearable 37mm stainless steel case, the new Deepstar II retains the function-first ethos and proportions of the pioneering Deepstar Chronograph from 1962, as well as two of Aquastar’s key identifiers: the rotating timing bezel bearing the brand’s own “no decompression” table used to time repeated dives (the first and only of its kind). It also features the emblematic “cyclops” style mono-compax counter originally devised by Aquastar founder and innovator Frederic Robert. Unique to the Deepstar II, this detail now houses the running seconds register at 9:00. Like the Deepstar Chronograph, the Deepstar II bears 200 meters of water resistance, and is powered by a top-grade Swiss-made automatic movement.

Depth Charge by Jason Heaton

$14.99 Tax/VAT for EU customers will be added during checkout
Depth Charge: Julian “Tusker” Tusk, an American archaeologist, is excavating a shipwreck half a world from home when a research boat catches fire and sinks, killing an old friend. The tragedy sets in motion a dangerous quest for truth that pulls Tusker into a sinister plot spanning 75 years, from World War II Ceylon to modern day Sri Lanka. Along the way, he matches wits with a psychopathic mercenary, discovers a long lost ship with an explosive secret, and falls for a beautiful marine biologist who is at least as strong as he is. In the end, Tusker finds that the truth may lie at the bottom of the sea, with only one way back to the surface. Depth Charge is an old school thriller in the tradition of Fleming, Maclean, and Cussler, with an eye for detail, cunning villains, and narrow escapes. The story is full of wartime secrets, the intersection of religion and politics, and the arcane world of deep technical diving. It takes readers from the smoky halls of 1940s London to the volatile, seductive heat of Sri Lanka and sixty fathoms under the Indian Ocean. Try not to hold your breath. Tusker and his Aquastar Benthos 500: Tusker wears his father’s old Aquastar Benthos 500 in his adventures About the Author: Jason Heaton has over a decade-long history of adventure, travel, wristwatch, and gear writing. His work has appeared in Outside magazine, Gear Patrol, Men’s Journal, The Telegraph, Wired, Australian Geographic, and Hodinkee, among others. In 2017, The New York Times called him, “a test pilot for the world’s most illustrious undersea timepieces.” He is the co-host of the popular podcast, The Grey NATO, and creator of the blog, Swimpruf. In 2021, he published his first novel, Depth Charge. His followup, Sweetwater, was published in late 2023. A certified technical diver, Heaton has been underwater all over the world, from the Galapagos to New Zealand to the Caribbean and, since 2015, he has been a member of the prestigious Explorers Club. He lives with his wife, Gishani, in Minneapolis.
