The Aquastar Navigator was patented in 1959. The Navigator was launched in 1960 and later appeared in diving equipment catalogs in the US, France and Germany for several years. The Navigator is a set of five devices or tools combined with a plate worn on the wrist. The set included deep size, a thermometer, a compass and a diving guard, attached to a single plastic plate worn by wrist divers. The compass had a wide bezel attached to the panel. The fifth device was a waterproof radiant card with a French marine decompression table printed there. This was the first device to show all the critical information a diver would need to complete a safe dive. This was, so to speak, the first completely analog/mechanical dive computer. In late 1963, the Model 60 was improved to a deep star, and Deepstar added multiple no-diving decompression tables to the bezel. The navigator shows that Aquastar was the first watch company in history and created tools for professional divers. Therefore, Aquastar is considered the inventor of Tool Diving Guard.
