Aquastar makes four families of Swiss mechanical dive and instrument watches, all built in Bienne. The Deepstar (1962) is the dive chronograph carrying the patented multiple-dive no-decompression bezel. The Benthos (1970) is the professional 500-metre saturation diver issued to the French Marine Nationale from 1979 to 1984. The Model 60 (1957) is the original cushion-case skindiver worn by Don Walsh on the 1960 Trieste descent to Challenger Deep. The Airstar (1965) is the pilot chronograph worn by Jacques Mayol and Philippe Cousteau. Every reference in every family is built around a documented pre-1977 Aquastar design, not a period-inspired sketch.

The current catalogue is around 19 references across the four families: 10 Deepstar variants (Deepstar II three-hand, Deepstar 39 mm Chronograph, Deepstar III Manual Wind), 4 Benthos variants (Heritage II, Heritage One, Professional, 500 II), 3 Model 60 variants, and 2 Airstar variants. Every one is Swiss made, mechanical, and built to be serviced indefinitely at the workshop in Bienne.

The 37 mm Model 60 MKII is the smallest and slides under a shirt cuff most easily. The Benthos Professional at 13.7 mm thick is unusually slim for a 300-metre-rated case and is Aquastar's recommended dive watch for daily wear. The Deepstar II at 37 mm and the 39 mm Deepstar Chronograph also sit inside the everyday-wear band under 40 mm.

Yes. Every modern Aquastar watch is assembled, regulated, pressure-tested and serviced in the workshop in Bienne, in the historic center of Swiss watchmaking. The brand was registered in Geneva in 1962 by Frederic Robert and has been continuously Swiss made since. Movements come from La Joux-Perret and Sellita in Swiss-manufacture grades.

Current prices range from about USD 2,290 for the entry-level Model 60 Re-Edition MKII to about USD 6,800 for the limited-edition Deepstar III Chronograph Manual Wind.
